This is such an important issue. There is both a physical and psychological battle faced by those receiving stem cell transplants. The body can endure a lot: the mind is less easy to manage.
1 in 3 cell therapy patients experience depression – yet only one transplant centre in the whole of Scotland has a dedicated psychologist for stem cell transplant recipients. Today we're in @ScotParl raising awareness of the psychological impact of cell therapies.

Is anyone else perplexed and perturbed by Ed Sheeran’s pivot to hospice vibes in his cringe inducing “Chariots” song for Weatlife?

What is the plan for passengers who make it to Letchworth Garden City but whose destination is Cambridge. Will there be busses for onward travel. If not what’s the alternative?
📢 More service updates to follow 👇 ℹ️ Services that run between King's Cross, Cambridge, Ely, and King's Lynn are experiencing major delays. 👉 These services may also terminate/start from a different station than normal. 🕛 Please continue to check before you travel and allow at least an extra 60 minutes, as it may be quicker for you to use an alternative route.

Our @rowenamason revealed in May that Nigel Farage’s partner bought his Clacton house meaning he avoided paying higher-rate of stamp duty on a second home. Reform leader has been challenged over the move, which saved him around £44k in tax, this w/e 👇🏼 theguardian.com/politics/202…

A remarkable and revealing account of the fragility of our legal and constitutional system of government in the face of a concerted effort to prevent journalists from doing their job.
For two years, two govts used a secret court to hide the truth: they put 100,000 Afghans at risk of death. They used constitutionally unprecedented methods to prevent reporting. My reflections on two years on this story and why it must ever happen again. goodallandgoodluck.substack.…

This is such an important initiative. Beyond the acute stage of diagnosis and treatment the mental health journey has no apparent support mechanisms.
Stem cell transplants and cell therapies can significantly impact the mental health of patients, families and carers. We're calling for mental health to become a standard part of every cell therapy journey. Read our report and take action today: bit.ly/4kgfU6q

🚨 PLEASE SHARE #Register4Reece 🚨 Whilst celebrating his 16th birthday, Reece was given the devastating news that his acute lymphoblastic leukaemia had returned, and he would need intense chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant to save his life.

Can you “set” a status quo?

It’s two years since donated stem cells took up residence. They have settled in well. Thanks to @AnthonyNolan for bringing us together.

One obvious question to ask is what does that tell us about the effectiveness of RNIB as an organisation representing the interests of blind and partially sighted users of public transport? It’s as much an indictment of disability advocates don’t you think?
