Residents in southern Lebanon have reported that drones frequently fly over villages, particularly during night hours, broadcasting recorded sounds such as crying children, women screaming, and calls for help in an apparent attempt to lure civilians.
According to testimonies, these sounds are not consistent but vary between distressing human voices and, at times, ambulance sirens and emergency signals, increasing anxiety and making it difficult to distinguish between real danger and psychological operations.
A medic in the area said he has repeatedly heard sounds of children screaming and women calling for help during drone flights, confirming that this phenomenon has become a near daily occurrence in some villages.
