A leader of precision healthcare in gastroenterology, offering novel diagnostic testing services to help physicians provide the highest level of patient care
In Case You Missed It | At DDW 2026, we shared new data showing how a noninvasive, bloodâbased Fibrosis Index Score can help rule in treatmentâeligible MASH (F2/F3) while ruling out cirrhosis (F4)âaddressing a critical gap as fibrosisâstage-specific therapies become available.
Key highlights from the poster:
â Validated in a large, biopsyâconfirmed MASH cohort (N=1,036)
â Uses a multiâanalyte serum panel with a 0â100 algorithmic score
â Interval likelihood ratios provide clinically actionable ranges, not just binary cutoffs
â Strong discrimination for ruling in F2/F3 and ruling out F4
â Identifies a clear treatmentâeligible window where F2/F3 is favored and cirrhosis risk remains low
These findings support noninvasive testing as a practical tool for broader screening, precise patient stratification and longitudinal monitoring in MASH.

In Case You Missed It | At DDW 2026, new data showed that validated serological signatures can accurately identify inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and distinguish Crohnâs disease (CD) from ulcerative colitis (UC) â in both adult and pediatric populations.
Using a panel of antiâmicrobial and autoantigen antibodies, researchers trained and validated models that demonstrated:
â Strong performance differentiating IBD vs nonâIBD (AUC ~0.85 in adults; 0.80 in pediatrics)
â High accuracy in stratifying UC vs CD, with especially robust results in pediatric cohorts (AUC up to 0.96)
â Clear serologic patterns: antiâmicrobial antibodies supporting CD classification, while pANCA/PR3/Îąvβ6 signatures were enriched in UC and colonic CD
These findings highlight the potential of serologic profiling to enable earlier diagnosis, improve disease classification and support future risk stratification.

Prometheus has been at the forefront of noninvasive liver fibrosis assessment for more than two decades. Today, that legacy continues.
Guided by translational research presented at DDWÂŽ 2026, we are developing a nextâgeneration bloodâbased test to better support identification and longitudinal assessment of treatmentâeligible MASH patients in a rapidly evolving care landscape.
Often asymptomatic, MASH affects up to 20 million people in the United States, with prevalence rising alongside obesity and type 2 diabetes. Providing a noninvasive blood-based solution will help enable these patients to be identified, often more timely and cost-effectively than biopsy or resource intensive-imaging, so treatment can be initiated before MASH progresses to cirrhosis.

Today is World IBD Day (May 19)âa moment to stand with the 10 million people worldwide living with inflammatory bowel disease.
At Prometheus Laboratories, we support patients with Crohnâs disease and ulcerative colitis by equipping clinicians with advanced diagnostic insights that help bring clarity to a complex disease. Our precision-guided tests play a critical role in helping HCPs make an accurate diagnosis and personalize treatment decisions.
On World IBD Day, we join the global community in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and advocating for earlier diagnosis and better outcomes for all those affected by IBD.
đ Together, knowledge can change the course of care.

Thatâs a wrap on #DDW2026!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to connect with our team and see whatâs next in precision diagnostics. We were excited to share how weâre continuing to innovate across GIâincluding a first look at updates to our liver testing as we expand non-invasive tools to support HCPs managing patients with metabolic dysfunctionâassociated steatohepatitis (MASH).
The conversations, curiosity and enthusiasm made this year unforgettable.
Weâll see you next year in Washington D.C.!

IBD PrecisÂŽ is the latest evolution of our diagnostic test that gives providers clarity to differentiate IBD from non-IBD and Crohnâs disease (CD) from ulcerative colitis (UC). Weâve added novel markers, anti-integrin (Îąvβ6) and anti-PR3, to improve its diagnostic accuracy and risk stratification.

â Our new test, IBD PrecisÂŽ, leverages novel biomarkers that strengthen diagnostic confidence by enhancing disease identification and differentiation. Beyond distinguishing IBD from non-IBD and Crohnâs disease from ulcerative colitis, these markers support risk stratification and offer non-invasive insight into potential colonic and/or ileal involvement.
â Precision-guided dosing with drug clearance assessment for infliximab, adalimumab, vedolizumab and ustekinumab in IBD patients.
â Our plans to support HCPs managing patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) with a new non-invasive test.
