Oh, and since @NaturalEngland lost its funding and thus its teeth, it's staff simply have to do what @DefraGovUK tells it. @TonyJuniper was hoped to be its saviour, but, nah, we're still waiting there.
NE staff are brilliant! But NE is now shit. And we all pay the price for that

A previous @NaturalEngland employee recalls 5 years ago how far behind salaries had fallen compared to the market rate in other environment sector employers. Poor, unfair pay affects moral, impacts day to day living, now exacerbated by #costoflivingcrisis
