I haven’t posted about Vocably in a while. My two-year contract with Air France/KLM ended few weeks ago, so now I have more time to work on Vocably. In the past month, I’ve made significant improvements to the extension and the app: - The browser extension now supports tags for grouping words (for example, to prepare for a lesson). - GPT-4o_mini now performs context-aware translations, resulting in top-notch translations that keep improving. - The mobile app now occasionally asks multiple-choice questions. These are high-quality questions because Vocably knows the parts of speech of words. Multiple-choice questions can be disabled in settings, but I highly recommend trying them. Vocably is now a solid tool for preparing for practical lessons.

Card grouping is available in Vocably mobile app now 🎉 The ability to group cards in folders is one of the most popular requests from Vocably users. Card grouping is now possible with tags 🏷️. Tags are better than folders because you can have multiple tags for a single card.

Guys, I’ve just improved Vocably. It now supports context-dependent translations. Thanks to ChatGPT. For example, the word “bank” in English can refer to a financial organization or a side of a river. Vocably will see and handle the difference.
