Statement from Jewish Social Work Group about Manchester Synagogue attack. Hopefully we can now working together and start listening to and acting on Jewish concerns. Thank you @BASW_UK for your support with this. basw.co.uk/articles/statemen…

They turned off the comments because? What is @basw & @swu going to do now, beyond platitudes? Will they finally respond to July's Commission on Antisemitism report, as the Jewish Social Work Group, including their Jewish members, asked them to do months ago?
We are horrified by the violent attack on a Manchester synagogue today and offer our condolences to the victims, their families, and the Jewish community. As social workers and trade unionists we stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in the struggle against antisemitism.

Should I post? Should I not post? Do any of my social work or academia colleagues actually care about Jews? I wonder if any sw organisations would repost this or will we continue to have to 🤐 and be excluded? tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…

Shame on the government and policymakers for driving and ‘growing’ kinship care as the cheaper alternative. Please invest appropriately in these children and their families.
