Is this a perfect breakdown of college basketball’s blue blood tiers??

Just saw a really great improvement suggestion for the @NBA. Reduce the # of free throws on shots from 2 & 3 to 1 & 2. Then reduce fouling out from 6 fouls to 5 or 4. This would disincentivize foul baiting, without incentivizing intentional fouling.

Grand Valley State University (@GVSU) & Western Michigan should merge, forming Grand Western University. Would be 40,000 students, the 28th largest power 5 school. West Michigan is a growing economy without a major professional team or power college program. It’s time. @gvsufootball @WMU_Football @WesternMichU

Since 2003, every super bowl but 2 has featured Mahomes, Brady, Manning, and/or Rothlisberger. And the two that didn’t were Stafford vs Burrow and the Harbaugh Bowl. That explains why this game feels relatively small.

I asked @grok to blueblood tier college football programs. Teams are ranked within their tiers, too. Criteria: -All Time Wins -Wins since 1950 -10 Win Seasons -National Championships -Heismans -All Americans -Draft Picks Some surprising results. What do you think? Bluebloods 1. Bama 2. Ohio State 3. Michigan 4. Notre Dame 5. Oklahoma 6. USC 7. Texas Tier 2 8. Penn State 9. Nebraska 10. Georgia 11. LSU 12. Florida State 13. Clemson 14. Auburn (surprising) Tier 3 15. Miami (would’ve thought higher) 16. Florida 17. Tennessee 18. UCLA (surprising) 19. Washington 20. Michigan State 21. Arkansas Tier 4 22. BYU 23. Stanford 24. Oregon 25. Iowa 26. Colorado 27. Arizona State 28. Georgia Tech

Regarding the hire of Arthur Smith to Ohio State, there are several reasons to have hope, despite his disastrous time in Atlanta: -The quarterbacks he worked with as an OC averaged 23% higher percentages with him versus without him. -In general, he was very successful as an offensive coordinator, just not as a head coach. -The same was true for Matt Patricia. He was a great DC, but a bad HC -Smith has direct connections to big billionaire money with FedEx. That would be huge for NIL

The SEC cycle: 1. The preseason top 25 will be loaded with SEC teams. Teams like LSU, Florida, Tennessee, and Missouri will re-enter. 2. We’ll be told “there’s too much talent on those teams to ignore them” 3. The “gauntlet” will be recreated 4. The SEC will have mixed, average results against their OOC slate 5. We’ll hear the narrative all season about how tough the conference is 6. The SEC will get more teams in the playoff than they should, leaving their bowl teams weak, they’ll do bad. 7. We’ll hear “bowl games don’t matter” Rinse and repeat.
