NEWSMAX needs to do its homework on the screwworm issue. Over the past 15 years (roughly 2011–2026), the New World screwworm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) threat re-emerged after decades of successful containment. The fly had been eradicated from the U.S. (1966), Mexico, and most of Central America by the early 2000s through the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT)—releasing massive numbers of sterilized males to mate with wild females and crash populations—plus quarantines and surveillance. A biological barrier in the Darién Gap (Panama-Colombia border) held since ~2006, with Panama's facility producing and releasing tens of millions of sterile flies weekly. Maintenance efforts faced challenges. Facilities in the U.S. and Mexico (e.g., Chiapas) closed or scaled back around 2012 (Obama) due to funding and perceived low risk. COVID-19 (2020–2022) disrupted sterile fly production and surveillance. The Darién Gap's remote terrain complicated monitoring, while factors like illegal or poorly inspected livestock movements from endemic South America (where screwworm remains common) likely aided breaches. In 2022–2023 (Biden), cases surged dramatically in Panama (from ~25 to thousands annually), then spread rapidly northward through Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, and into Mexico by 2024–2025. This overwhelmed the barrier, with over 171,700 animal cases and 2,000 human cases reported across the region by mid-2026. Livestock trade restrictions followed, including U.S. import halts. By late 2025, detections reached northern Mexico near the U.S. border. On June 3, 2026, USDA confirmed the first U.S. case in a Texas calf, with additional findings soon after—marking the first domestic animal infestation in decades. Response efforts include quarantines, enhanced surveillance, sterile fly ramp-ups, and border measures.
Senator Marshall disgraces himself, blaming Biden for a flesh-eating screw worm in Texas, despite the fact Biden hasn't been POTUS for 2 years, and Republicans run Texas. The Biden Derangement Syndrome is real.

With Crow, Hirono and now Ansari, using the same statement, it looks like the DNC has issued its talking points memo.
Trump is appointing Bill Pulte as the Acting Director of National Intelligence. This guy has ZERO experience in national security—he’s a Trump cult loyalist who will weaponize this critical agency ahead of the election. Extremely dangerous and we have to stop it.

There's a big hole in his boat and he's sinking fast. Paxton is now at 60% on Polymarket.

Is Ossoff trying to make a point? Sounds like the rest of the Democrats stringing a bunch of meaningless platitudes. Hard believe people buy into this claptrap.

Prove it. Let's see your numbers that show cause and effect.
James Talarico: "Texans are seeing that climate change is here... and it is killing Texans and Americans by the thousands" "for everyone who grew up watching the Jetsons, that's the future that we can have if we get in the fight against climate change"

🚨🚨🚨 The preliminary results of the Texas Republican runoff show that Paxton has defeated Cornyn by 63-64% to 36-37%. Don't mess with President Trump.

Fridays are supposed to be slow news days. But, the Virginia Supreme Court sure lit up the Democrats. It has been a very good day in the US. Hope we can keep it going.

$3B Activist Network and Communist Groups Fuel Nationwide "No Kings" Protests Investigation reveals that the "No Kings" protests occurring across the U.S. are supported by a massive network of approximately 500 activist groups with a combined annual revenue of $3 billion. While the "flagship" march in St. Paul, Minnesota, is led by the Democratic advocacy group Indivisible, the investigation highlights significant involvement from radical socialist and communist organizations. Key Points: Funding & Coordination: The protests are backed by well-funded entities, including those linked to billionaire George Soros and tech tycoon Neville Roy Singham. Revolutionary Rhetoric: Groups such as the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) and the People’s Forum are utilizing the demonstrations to call for a "revolution" and spread Marxist-Leninist ideologies. Global Links: Participating organizations like CodePink have linked the domestic protests to anti-imperialist stances regarding Iran, Cuba, and Venezuela. Strategic Infiltration: Experts suggest these radical groups embed themselves within mainstream progressive movements to gain national media attention and recruit new members. Nationwide Reach: Evidence of organized "leftist contingents" and pre-made revolutionary signage has been documented in cities including Minneapolis, New York, D.C., and Detroit.

We now have a choice. We can replace Thune with either Mike Lee or Rick Scott.

Key quotes from Keith Ellison, Minnesota AG, on January 25: On the Tenth Amendment and state sovereignty: "The Tenth Amendment: we are entitled, as a state, to equal sovereignty, and we have been denied that." He added, "The federal government is literally commandeering and coercing the state of Minnesota to bend to its will, which is the prerogative of the people of the state of Minnesota." He emphasized foundational principles: "It is in the DNA of American history that the federal government cannot trample over the prerogatives of the state." Since Ellison is demanding 10th Amendment sovereignty, does this apply to Medicaid and EBT/SNAP as well? It seems state sovereignty implies taking care of your own.

Just like poison hemlock—a toxic weed that spreads rapidly from small seeds, choking out life around it—the divisive rhetoric sown during Obama's era has been watered by far-left Democrats. What began as subtle identity politics has bloomed into a poisonous landscape: cancel culture, extreme polarization, and attacks on free speech. Hemlock kills quietly at first, paralyzing victims; this rhetoric divides communities, silences dissent, and erodes trust in institutions. Time to uproot it before it overtakes us all.

With attention on Trump, RFK Jr., and others regarding Tylenol, we often take OTC meds without reading labels or researching effects. They could be right or wrong but this may encourage more caution, which is good.

Historically, betting markets have often been more accurate than polls on a state-by-state basis. It's noteworthy that currently, both the polls and betting odds in swing states are aligning, all showing a favorable tilt towards Trump. Please retweet if you agree.

LARRY KUDLOW: Do Democrats hate religion? foxbusiness.com/media/larry-… #FoxBusiness Religion can be perceived as a threat to political power, even if it doesn't pose an overt challenge. Throughout history, we've seen instances where political entities have viewed structured religious groups as a danger to their control. Historical Precedents The Roman Empire and Christianity: A great example is the Roman Empire's treatment of early Christians. Despite Christianity not being a direct threat, Emperor Diocletian saw it as a threat to stability and attempted to wipe it out through persecution and execution ¹. This was largely due to the Empire's desire for centralized power and control. The Sasanian Empire and Minority Religions: Similarly, the Sasanian Empire, which was the Persian Empire at the time, had a complex relationship with minority religions. While they tolerated some, they also persecuted others, like Christians and Jews, to maintain their centralized power ¹. Constantine's Conversion: Interestingly, when Constantine converted to Christianity, it marked a significant shift in power dynamics. Christianity became intertwined with imperial power, and Constantine used it to consolidate his control ¹. Why Religion is Seen as a Threat There are several reasons why religion might be viewed as a threat: Alternative Authority: Religion can provide an alternative source of authority and loyalty, potentially rivaling the state's power. Centralized Organization: Structured religious groups can mobilize large numbers of people, creating a perceived challenge to political control. Ideological Differences: Religious beliefs can clash with the ruling party's ideology, leading to concerns about stability and loyalty. These factors contribute to the perception that religion poses an inherent threat to political groups seeking more control. However, it's essential to note that this perception is often rooted in a desire for centralized power rather than an actual threat from the religious group itself.
