i feel like digital art (esp ipad art) is looked down upon and not seen as "real" or fine art but hockney was doing it like nobody else. a real inspiration im gonna miss him

Hockney said Picasso would have used an iPad and nobody who knew Picasso could argue with that. It's good he spent his last years painting on one instead of warning people about it.

digital art isnt very respected in the fine art world unless youre doing some gimmicky bullshit but he was just painting landscapes on his ipad. i dont see how thats any different than painting in traditional mediums
