Got 1st place in defcon quals. It's time to accept the power of AI.
While I was grinding on shellcode minimization, my teammate's AI found better solutions. Once I accepted that and started guiding the AI, it eventually found the best score.

In optimization-heavy competitions like KOTH, which push us beyond human limits and require intuition and creativity, I used to believe that humans could still outperform AI.
I got beaten by AI.

The AI wasn't fully autonomous in this case, but when guided step by step with better ideas, it consistently discovered better solutions.

The core utilities that run every Linux system have been rewritten in Rust. We audited them.
Before shipping uutils coreutils with Ubuntu 26.04, @Canonical commissioned Zellic for an external security audit.
Two rounds, fixes contributed directly upstream.

When I queried approvals on-chain, there are many victims on Ethereum, but only few victims on Linea.
