What if we took a 160 acre golf course and repurposed it for housing and saved 95% of all the trees? Now you have 40,000 people living on two future light rail stops with a wonderful tree-lined dense walkable neighborhood

These two housing graphics bother more than any other than bounce around the internet. They are just wrong … the price of a lot is dependent on what is allowed and what is required. It’s not fixed.

Design review exemption means renderings look like this now, but this thing could move quickly. Proposal out for the Western half of the cancelled office pit in SLU, 511 feet in thanks to getting more height for saving the little park in red.

5 years of delay just to be given approval on the buildings looks for their land use permit. they will get their construction permit in 9 months and the whole thing will be built in 2 years. but their aesthetic review took FIVE years. land use permits are useless

downtown bellevue has so many 5 and 7 lane roads that make up their city grid. some have double left turn lanes too. but no room for bus only lanes

urban planner once again showing us their profession is about micromanaging cities to conform to their vision of idealism. its all starting to make sense
You don’t have to live here. It’s ok to let people decide what kind of cities and neighborhoods they want. I like a mid-density historic neighborhood and I found it.

this is so completely untrue and honestly a gross assumption and mischaracterization of developers. and this is sadly how most urban planners think. i also find it funny that planners both complain that housing isnt affordable but then complain buildings are cheap
Replying to @pushtheneedle
Many want to make cheap buildings. Don’t put words in my mouth. But I get generalizations and misinformation pushes the needle most easily. The rest of us will do the heavy lifting,
