the thing is that we are locking the kids in short contracts as well. by the time they gain experience and become starters or show potential to be starters, its time to renew and we don’t have much to offer. and its been a while since an academy one has become a definite starter.

Alexia went through hell during that last contract and you guys dismissed it but so many patterns are repeated. I think she learned the hard way that not only sporting wise but also in terms of the financial aspects, she has to step away.

a massive salary space was opened due to her departure, including that of Mapi and Ona but we can’t offer a young and proven winger a decent contract bc the market is flourishing with her profile and we def aren’t short on backups lol

Culers are the only fanbase who act like a club paying their players a salary and providing them with medical care under a contract is something special. its bare minimum, literally their duty. this pisses me off so much. acting like they don’t low ball them all along anyway lol

its a club’s obligation to take care of her when she’s injured and pay her salary. she has a contract. I’m beyond sick of this tone that you all use as if it’s a favour and the players should be on their knees for this act of great service. and she’s was literally for sale.
Lo de Salma ha llegado a un punto insostenible. A estas alturas, el Barça Femení ha esperado lo suficiente y, si no hay conformidad con una oferta mejorada —ni mucho menos se ha alcanzado un acuerdo—, creo que las negociaciones ya no tienen sentido. Evidentemente sería mejor renovarla, pero su postura dice mucho y el club tiene claro hasta dónde está dispuesto a hacer un esfuerzo. Se apostó por ella en un momento en el que atravesó problemas físicos, y ahora que ha sido determinante en este tramo final de temporada, no podemos condicionar la planificación deportiva esperando una decisión que claramente apunta a su salida.

I saw someone say it’s been two weeks, just get over it like I’m not getting over this my whole life and everyone will have to deal with it. 14 years of Alexia is Barça and in those years I watched the team literally come up from the ground. her and Barça are forever.
