Chromebook solves this. One of the cheapest devices out there can save your OpSec sorry ass. If you’re an exchange / VC fund you better roll out chromebooks for the entire team. And chromebooks aren’t slow sluggish machines either, the premium models are quite capable. 1/3

In Nietzsche's book Thus Spoke Zarathustra, the main character Zarathustra has been meditating in a cave on the question of life for decades. Finally he has an answer and excitedly descends to the nearest city to declare to the people the project of creating "the man of the future". But upon reaching the city, the people ridicule and make fun of him. He is surrounded by the last men of history- the degraded human of modernity. Quietly an old man comes up to him and tells him he's lucky they thought he was joking, because if they realized Zarathustra was serious they would try to kill him. The problem with creative people like ourselves is that we create tremendous value for society. We are driven by abstract global principles. But we forget to often capture that value back. We have in our lives left a huge amount of money on the table simply because our concern lay elsewhere. Experience has taught me a harsh lesson. If an ideology makes you weak and poor then it's a bad ideology. Ideology is a framework or set of teachings on how to understand the world. They allow you to navigate our complex social reality. Effective ideologies are teachings which grow and prosper. In my case there were many people who I helped bring up and even contributed towards materially who later became multi-millionaires or even billionaires. Later when I fell on harsh financial conditions, and sought their help, there was zero reciprocation. I was told I'm too legally risky to help or even just completely ignored. Even non-financial help was rebuked. These same people profess values about "public goods", "freedom" and "community". We like to imagine that people share our values. You are earnest and straightforward. You are very trusting of people. You help people out and imagine a strong mutual bond. I've made this same mistake over and over, and yet I still continue to do it - I can't help it. It's our nature to want to trust people. We have a love of humanity. Most people are the last men of history. The values they express are simply virtue signalling. They are weak and want to fit in with others. They are insecure. They have very little belief in anything nor any ideology. All they understand is money, fame and power. Like a civilized version of a person who needs physical force to stop being a threat. This is the fallen state of society we live in today. The last men of history created by modernity, the state and neoliberalism. The revolution is about growing the moral-political fabric of society. When society is strong and when people work together on a local level then the state becomes weak. The state exists by dividing people from their community or nation and making those people dependent upon it. The revolution is not about changing the system, although making new systems or changing the system might help the revolution. The structure of institutions changes the psyche of people they interact with, and we can design structure which grows the moral-political aspect of society. We have a revolution we want to create. That is our target. Free markets are a means to an end. The tactic we choose is agorist action. Communities form their own parallel economies outside control of the state. These economies are regulated by the societies and people who operate them. It's the role of morality, religious constraints, people's sense of duty and ethics to regulate them. No rules or system is going to fix people being backstabbers who behave in a bad way. That is caused by the fallen state of society we live in. We can only be the change we want to see. How do we grow and get big? We must create a movement. That movement needs economic power. The state will see us as a threat and try to shut us down. Cryptocurrency literally is a massive power we can leverage. Nobody has done this yet because we have shit ineffective leaders who are billionaires with no vision for the future. It's why we haven't done anything trillions of dollars later. Cryptocurrency cannot be seized and is highly liquid. The logic of violence has completely changed. Now wealth is global, and we are going to see massive inequality everywhere. You can't fix the world. This is actually an opportunity to create the future. If we are smart, we can leverage this power and create societies with the values we want to see. We can empower the movements we wish to see grow. In this vision of the future, there will be many communities. You can have a liberal communities and a reactionary communities living alongside each other with different norms and policies. There is no state and people govern their own affairs autonomously. We can create this world! We have a decisive power. But as I said, the current leadership is ineffective and corrupt. What cryptocurrency needs is a radical leadership who will push all in to realize this vision above all else without compromise to the old world. This way the ideological side of crypto emerges strong, we bring back the soul of crypto and start creating these products organizing movements to use and deploy them. We don't even need a billion dollars to do a fraction of this. Success begets success. With gradual step by step results we will win people to our side and accumulate resources. The old world is finished. The Trump token has shown us that. It's an amazing situation that bribery is open season in politics. Crypto has eaten politics, and crypto is becoming politics. Globalism is about to end too. It sounds nihilistic, but when you realize that the political system is irrelevant, and cryptocurrency is the main determinant of the historical trend right now then you'll understand exactly what is at stake here. So don't let the window of opportunity to truly change the world pass you by. Because these are historic times we're living in.

even if the original vision of memecoins was good, its hard to believe anyone can argue in good faith that the current meta is anything but negative sum. memecoins are a wildfire burning through our industry, and if we dont want to be left with only ashes then it's time to act

There’s a deep cultural trauma around collectivism. When people hear socialism or communism, they think of failed authoritarian regimes and for good reasons. Those who claimed to practice them have often created systems that lead to oppression & economic failure. 1/ 🧵 Thread

Revolut is specifically banning GrapheneOS by checking for the build machine hostname and username being set to grapheneos. We've changed these to build-host and build-user. Combined with another change, this allow our users to log in to it again until they roll out Play Integrity API enforcement. There's no legitimate excuse for banning using a much more private and secure operating system while permitting devices with no security patches for a decade. Meanwhile, Revolut's shoddily made app tells users they're banning GrapheneOS because they're "serious about keeping your data secure". Revolut's app will stop working against once they start enforcing having a Play Integrity API result showing it's a Google certified device. This is not a security feature but rather anti-competitive behavior from Google deployed by apps like Revolut wanting to pretend they care about security. Revolut uses a bunch of shady closed source third party libraries in their app and it's one of these libraries banning GrapheneOS. These libraries are a major security risk and put user data at risk of being compromised. Revolut is not taking user security seriously at all and is cutting corners.

Most of crypto rn is just "onchain", *not* decentralized. Courts *will* recognize the difference. It's time to stop the endlessly prolonged 'gradual decentralization' theatrics and start pushing the decentralization accelerator--or be regulated like a financial services biz.

If you work at a crypto company, security can't just be its own department. Security cannot be an unpaid IT guy working in alone in a basement anymore. Security has to be a cross-functional skill trained with ALL departments. If your HR, Finance, and all other departments don't recognize they're responsible for keeping the company secure as well, they will cause losses for their company or potentially the customers as well.

People in crypto are so brainwashed by the transparent paradigm, they can't understand how people can organize anon online without realnames and KYC. The true internet native way is using pseudonyms and forming affinity groups online with trust networks. This was the internet of the 90s which created p2p. Turns out it works really well and forces people to have defence in depth. It also creates resilient schizo communities immune to glowie psyop and eceleb noise. Come home cypherpunk
