Our fathers fought colonizers. We confronted the military. Today’s youth will lose the future unless they contain yesterday’s men and entrepreneurs of power who masquerade as leaders in NASS and Executive branch. They have technology and numbers on their side to fight this coup

El-Rufai fixed. Protests criminalized. Kwankwaso immobilized. Citizen’s voice has retreated. Rigging has been institutionalized. Tinubu cannot win a free & fair election. He will rig the 2027 election in a more brazen manner. To stop the North Korea-nization of Nigeria & restore democracy, opposition must present: 1. Peter Obi strong Arewa. 2. Be ready to hit the streets. 3. Seek international pressure. 4. Have a counter-rigging strategy. 5. Your eyes must be on INEC 24/7. 6. Do everything to avoid Voter Apathy. The NADECOs are not democrats. June 12 People are afraid of credible elections.

“If I do not provide steady electricity in four years, do not vote for me for 2nd Tenure,” -BAT Thirty-two months after being incharge and instead of living by his powerful words, he now dumps National Grid that has been performing abysmally under his watch. Those were the powerful words then that inspired hope among Nigerians who longed for light in their homes, stability for their businesses, and growth for their nation. Yet, while Nigerians are still grappling with that unfulfilled, categorical electoral promise - and without clear communication on the obstacles, if any, we read of provision in 2025 budget about the ₦10 billion for solar power at Aso Rock, and in 2026 budget another humongous amount for upgrade and maintenance and now we are being scarcitically told that Presidential Villa has planned to be disconnected from the national grid to rely entirely on solar. It is a gross neglect and deeply worrisome when the seat of power abandons the national grid. One would expect government institutions to lead efforts to strengthen and expand the grid so that other establishments, and ultimately, citizens can benefit. If those in authority disconnect themselves from the system, who then will connect the ordinary Nigerian to reliable power? Promoting renewable energy, as solar systems do, is commendable and necessary for the future. However, this situation reflects a deeper concern: governance lacking compassion and commitment to the governed. You cannot tell the people to fast while feasting yourself, securing yourself while Nigerians remain unsecured. Nigerians do not expect 100% fulfilment of promises, but they do expect 100% effort, accompanied by measurable improvements and clear explanations when gaps exist. Leadership must serve the people, not isolate itself from their daily struggles. -PO

Loyalty to Who? Today in Abuja, I attended the book launch of "The Loyalist" by Hon. Bolaji Abdullahi @BolajiADC , spokesperson for the ADC. The subject of loyalty in Nigeria is of utmost importance. We live in a nation where many elites in leadership positions demonstrate little to no loyalty to the country, its Constitution, its unity, its progress, or the welfare of its citizens. Instead, their loyalty often lies with self-interest and the reckless looting of public resources. It is disheartening that those who choose to uphold loyalty to the Constitution, advocate for good governance, and prioritise the well-being of the people are frequently marginalised, victimised, or ostracised. Our political landscape is marked by a selfish interpretation of loyalty, rather than genuine loyalty to the nation. I commend Hon. Bolaji Abdullahi for this work. I remain firmly committed to the unity of Nigeria, respect for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the welfare of our citizens. A new Nigeria is not just a dream; it is absolutely achievable. -PO

The National Youth Corps member, Ushie Rita Uguamaye, also known as Raye, recently had an experience that highlights a troubling trend in our nation—one where voices of reason and truth are met with intimidation rather than dialogue and engagement. Reports indicate that she has faced threats from NYSC officials simply for expressing her concerns about the current administration. This pattern is not isolated. I, too, have been subjected to threats for daring to offer constructive suggestions and comments. I now face daily intimidation, harassment, and name-calling simply for expressing solution-based views on government policies. Such actions are antithetical to the principles of democracy. A government that silences its citizens is not democratic or one that is subject to accountability and good governance and is most often corrupt. I urge the current administration to reflect deeply on its approach to dissent and recognize that constructive criticism is a cornerstone of democratic progress. To all patriotic Nigerians: Our nation's future and development depend on our collective courage to speak out against misgovernance, injustice, and intimidation. Do not let fear stifle your voice. Stand firm, support one another, and continue to advocate for Nigeria we all envision—a nation where freedom of speech is sacrosanct, and leadership is accountable to the people, especially in critical areas such as education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation. A just and prosperous Nigeria should be one where people like Raye are encouraged to speak out about the challenges they face, while those in government take urgent action to address these issues. A New Nigeria is POssible! -PO

I need prove of his government' s effort for the Eastern children to catch up with the educational system after missing out for over three years . I challenge him to show how many Easterner who lost their jobs because of the war were reabsorbed after the war . They said Sharia Law will not apply to Christians in the North. But a Bauchi state high court refused to throw out the blasphemy charge brought against #RhodaJatau (a Christian) by the Bauchi State Government. The entire Muslim Ummah in Bauchi are persecuting a single Christian mother, & for what? Religion? Deborah Samuel was killed in Sokoto, in the most brutal insane manner, by religious extremists hiding behind Islam. And when the barbarism was over, they posted it online while reveling in it. Nigeria represent the many ways that Christians can die. Do you know the heartbreaking part? A Zurich based Christian organization are the ones at the forefront, leading the legal battle for Rhoda Jatau’s release. The Christian Community in Nigeria couldn’t be bordered? The Body Of Christ in Nigeria must search their souls. Is Christianity just about miracles & the promise of wealth? Christianity in Nigeria must be more than that. It should be “leave no one behind.” Where are the Bishops, the clergy, the Daddy GOs? Rhoda Jatua is a wife, a mother, she is a law abiding citizen. She has been in incarceration for a wholesome twelve months, for a crime she couldn’t have possibly committed. Nigeria is a Secular State, is it not? So why the selective application of laws? Nigeria is ranked one of the highest where Christians are persecuted. Christians in Northern Nigeria are becoming more & more endangered for their beliefs. Is Nigeria now an Islamic state? Why is the Christian Community in Nigeria silent on this? #freeRhodaJatua for Heaven’s sake!

It’s with complete despondency and unhappiness that I have followed the ongoing demolitions of properties across the country, especially knowing the extra hardship such acts have been heaping on hapless citizens who are already battling with multi-dimensional Poverty.

Some of us were talking from a vantage position. It wasn't just book knowledge. We grew up around these bhenchods. We went to school with their children. Dated them. Lived in the same neighbourhoods. Holidayed with them. We know them inside-out, so when we said these mardachods had nothing to offer, it was from a position of lived experience, not book talk! But you would get attacked by some dude yelling "Akanbi" who has lived his entire life in Orile-Iganmu and doesn't own a passport. That dude would be convinced that he knows your own people better than you because of some temporary mass psychosis that takes hold every election period. After the electoral post-nut clarity sets in, he'll now start recording viral videos crying about his condition, hoping that the same people you warned him about will take pity on him and compensate him for his psychotic episodes. These people? The ones that I have in my own family? The gimmick might work once or twice. They might find $300 here, $500 there a couple of times, but once they get tired, they will roll up their tinted SUV window and leave the armed policeman outside to deal with you. If you no clear for road, Corporal Usman go mud you there, and nothing will happen. Well, what the hell do I know.

I just read yesterday, a widely publicized story from the present APC-led Federal Government saying that they inherited a bankrupt nation from their predecessor APC administration. But the story failed to disclose what they inherited which had qualified us for bankruptcy status.
