So. Many. Flags. The NFL is presenting a product that is no fun to watch. I don’t blame the officials. Almost all of the calls seem legit. It’s the players who keep committing infractions and the coaches who can’t coach them not to.
I’m watching Cameron Young finish his round with a 5-stroke lead at the Wyndham. Between his shirt and his hat, I’m counting 9 different logos. Is it just me, or does that seem a bit excessive?
Turnovers, stupid mistakes, dropped passes, fumbles, and flags, flags, flags. For the second week in a row, the NFL is delivering an inferior product. Do they care?
Is it just me, or after five days of looking at the indictment photos, does Mar-A-Lago look like a complete, run down dump? What do members pay for membership at that ramshackle mess? Whatever it is, it’s too much.
I feel bad for Michael Block. He’s 9 over par after 16 holes and Golf Channel’s still giving him the “featured group” treatment. We’re seeing every shot as he struggles to break 80. Unnecessary.
A new tactic has emerged among NFL receivers. If they are running a route with a defender running right behind them, they will suddenly stop or slow down. Defender runs right into them, ref throws the flag for P.I. every time. It’s a sketchy move. NFL version of a soccer dive.
Good news that Warnock has been re-elected. Sobering news that nearly 1.7 million Georgia voters thought it was a good idea to send Herschel Walker to the United States Senate.
Another Sunday, another blizzard of yellow flags. Whether it’s overzealous officials or undisciplined teams (or both), does anyone think this makes NFL games better to watch? Does no one in the league believe this might be a problem?
Last season’s blizzard of yellow flags seems to have resumed in NFL’s week 2. Note to the league: it’s never a good thing when the person in the white hat and striped shirt is getting as much camera time as the players. The relentless penalties are hurting your game.
Clearly Scottie Scheffler isn’t superstitious about playing a ball with a big number. Played today with a Titleist 7 and a Titleist 8. Golf gods didn’t seem to mind.
