Marking the 10th anniversary of the #SSD, @GCPEAtweets visited Nigeria to learn about #SSD implementation efforts. @ranieri_global met with high-level officials, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to discuss actions to #protecteducation from attack.

Today kicked off a week of activities on the implementation of the #SSD in Bamako. The SSD Committees of #Mali and #BurkinaFaso will exchange experiences and best practices to better protect education from attack. Thanks to Mali’s Ministry of Education for the warm welcome. #EiE

@GCPEAtweets observed a 17% increase in attacks on schools between 2021 and 2022, Ms. Michela Ranieri noted at #V2AKigali2023, while pointing out that 118 states have endorsed the #SSD which encourages the protection of schools, teachers & students during armed conflict.
