Myth: If a patient knows their name and their date both, they are not delirious. Fact: People with #delirium can often correctly answer simple orientation questions. This does not exclude delirium. Use a proper assessment tool like the 4AT.

Registered with @HomeAssistUK for annual cover & paying direct debit every month.Contacted for home emergency. Told me they don't cover my boiler type. Why collect direct debit monthly when you knew my boiler type anyway ? Cancellation admin fee is £35. Is it not cheating ?

Fascinating paper just published in Science. The authors analyze the career trajectories of top performers across multiple domains, including Nobel laureates, elite chess players, Olympic gold medalists, and more. Their central finding challenges a common belief. Intensive, single-discipline training at a young age does confer an early advantage, but this advantage fades over time. By contrast, individuals exposed to multidisciplinary practice early in life tend to start more slowly. Yet, over the long run, they are more likely to reach world-class performance, eventually overtaking early specialists, who often plateau just below the very top. An important reminder that breadth early on can be a powerful investment in long-term excellence. Link to the paper in the first reply.

Replying to @emirates
@emirates -booked an infant seat months ago for DXB–HYD, but after an aircraft change they moved us to a middle seat with no notice. No cooperation, just ‘airline guidelines.’ Extremely frustrating. @raylibra6!!!

For #CAMW we launched a new wellbeing initiative called Fika Thursday. Its based on a Swedish concept of coffee and cake helping people connect, and a short pause at 11am let us go back to the ward round feeling energised.
