Side A is correct. The key difference is that the pad on the left hand side of the chest has been placed on the side of the rib cage, closer to the armpit.
ALT The image shows a side-by-side comparison of two defibrillator pad placements on a CPR training mannequin, labeled "A" and "B." The background is dark blue, and the text reads:
"Spot the difference. Do you know the best defib pad placement?"
In image A, one pad is placed on the mannequin's upper right chest, while the other is positioned on left hand side of the rib cage, close to the armpit.
In image B, one pad is also placed on the upper right chest, but the other one is placed on the left hand side, further away from the armpit and almost on top of the ribcage.
