I am sickened by Americans contextualizing and rationalizing a pogrom. What happened was not the abstract "Resistance" that you like to fetishize. It was absolute barbarism. Hamas are ISIS with a loose dress code.

The novel Time’s Arrow, by Martin Amis, is amazing. Check it out. It recounts a person’s life in reverse, from last breath to first. It’s the most creative way I’ve read a writer demonstrate that the past informs the present and should be considered before judging others.
