76 antibiotic-smart facilities in two years!🌍 We are thrilled to announce that 36 new facilities have been awarded the "Antibiotic Smart" diploma. They now join the 40 facilities that reached this milestone in 2025. Antibiotic Smart Sweden is coordinated by the Public Health Agency of Sweden. As one of the core partners in this ongoing initiative, ReAct is proud to support this work as it continues forward. Key highlights from this milestone: 🔷 Broad engagement: From preschools and elderly care to water treatment and local leadership, addressing antibiotic resistance is a shared societal responsibility. 🔷 Hospitals onboard: Four hospitals have now been awarded for the first time, integrating antibiotic stewardship directly into everyday patient safety. 🔷 The One Health approach: Recognizing that human, animal, and environmental health are deeply interconnected for long-term sustainability. Antibiotic resistance is a global challenge that requires collaboration across sectors and countries. A huge congratulations to everyone involved in making this happen! 👇 Read the full article to learn more about the initiative: reactgroup.org/news-and-view… #AntibioticSmart #OneHealth #AntibioticResistance

Many infections are treated with #antibiotics: Bacterial pneumonia Bloodstream infections Intra-abdominal infections Urinary tract infections Typhoid fever Skin infections Meningitis Tuberculosis Severe diarrhea Cardiac infections Bone and joint infections Gonorrhea Streptococcal sore throat Lyme disease Chlamydia and many more.... This in turn also make antibiotics crucial for conditions or situation where you are especially vulnerable to infections such as at childbirth, cancer treatment, surgery, organ transplantation. We need to act on #AntibioticResistance now, for a world free from untreatable infections.

The importance of local leadership in addressing AMR In the Jahangirpuri slum in New Delhi, India, we saw the power of local engagement. While campaigns build awareness, the foundation is everyday local action. Through the React Asia Pacific Antibiotic Smart Community initiative, local women are proving that leadership begins at home. Here’s what we learned: Prevention is key: Access to water, hygiene, and sanitation helps reduce antibiotic use. Context matters: Poverty and gender roles shape how medicines are used. Empowerment works: Local voices share knowledge. 👉 Read the full story here: reactgroup.org/news-and-view… Do you think local action is the heart of global health? ❤ #AMR #OneHealth

Vaccines play a critical role in efforts to address antibiotic resistance During World Immunization Week 2026, we reflect on how vaccines protect us throughout life. The connection between immunization and antibiotic resistance is direct: -Fewer infections lead to decreased need for antibiotics. -Reduced antibiotic use leads to slower development of resistance. Antibiotic resistance is not just about treating infections. It is about preventing them in the first place. This is why prevention must remain at the top of the global health agenda #WorldImmunizationWeek #VaccinesWork

AMR on the agenda at ESCMID 2026 As ESCMID Global 2026 wraps up in Munich, ReAct  joined one of the key global forums shaping the future of antimicrobial resistance #AMR. Beyond a leading scientific congress, @ESCMID continues to be an important space to exchange across disciplines, from research to policy and implementation. What emerged clearly this year is that AMR remains high on the global agenda, but the context around it is shifting.
