An aptly titled podcast ("I'm Not a Lawyer, but...") spreads misinformation about Austin Metcalf -- that he "attacked" Karmelo Anthony twice, both before and after the "touch me and see what happens" threat.
Greg Goolsby, a staffer at KevOnStage Studios who has appeared in the series "A Workplace Comedy" and "That's Cap," co-hosts the podcast with his wife Melissa, who previously worked for Netflix and CNN. Goolsby says the verdict in this case is "bulls**t."
"[Karmelo] didn't even have to warn him after that boy touched him. He could have just attacked him, defending himself. But he warned him. The boy attacked him again, touched him again, and he reacted. Is that not self-defense? And if it's not self-defense, what is it? It's not murder. It's not 35 years in prison. I think it's all bulls**t... He had to defend himself."
"For us black people, everything has to be in line -- like, everything has to go right and be in our favor for us to even be considered innocent."
