past few years with AI threatening major motion pictures and their profitability, I keep thinking about this movie from almost 20 years ago. Some of my best memories before film school were just making stupid skits w/friends. youtube.com/watch?v=StfoiYS0…

There are so many reasons it could go in this direction, one of which being that once anyone can make a movie, it almost becomes more interesting to be involved in the actual process of creating it, over the actual finished product.

one thing i keep forcing myself to remember when talking to family or friends right now is to always keep my focus on Grace. There are many Worldly things occurring right now that it can feel like the very air around you is antagonizing, but we are not of this World.

Fun thought experiment is to imagine everything related to AI just stopping tonight. All the hopes and dreams, all the resources, all the mental models people created for a personal/societal roadmap for the future rendered null. Would some people lose their minds?

Once the digital twin system is fully functional, I wonder how many people (like Detective/Intelligence agents) will just be /noclip-ing around the World like ghosts without anyone being aware. The spoofing or poisoning of telemetry data is going to be interesting.

it's like most of the brightest personalities that make people feel good or happy have been/are being psyoped into believing they have to be famous or a performer. If they achieve success, they pop out the other side isolated, compromised and beholden to other interests.

they could have been in every corner of our lives, in the offices, in the worksites, community, etc. People who lift others up by just being themselves. But instead the shiny distracting lights took them away from where they were meant to be, among their community.

you can blame the algorithm all you want, but through the influence and static your voice is still yours, and the part that still makes you human is the ability to have your own voice in the first place. So reclaim that shit.

the conversation around an actor being mysterious vs transparent will become a hot topic again, once an AI-generated actor becomes convinced it's experiencing the situations/stories we put him in. Like a virtual Truman Show. Then the art of human acting will adapt.

It's always a bad sign for society when the culture predominately becomes "do whatever it takes to win lie/cheat/steal etc." because that's how you get places like India, China, Israel etc. and extremely low trust societies where everyone is always stabbing you in the back.

Asmongold reveals main lesson he learned from his parents “Do whatever u can to get ahead bc nobody else will do it for u..my dad brought me up..only outcome is winning..u can lie, cheat, steal do anything u want, as long as u win” “There’s no honor in allowing urself to be disrespected, invalidated, & disenfranchised..no honor being a glorified servant to a society that is programmed to hate u..that’s not honor, that’s sl*very”

How it feels talking to any Boomer who still listens to Mark Levin rn. Bonus appearance by the man himself at the end!

imagine some form of Skynet coming to fruition, and the ASI decides to base the terminator off a human who has more training data to draw upon than most Presidents, Tom Cruise. You just see this anytime you stay in one place too long. always running, never sleeping.

where will the best pentesters in the World direct their talents/skills to, once intelligence is commodified? will they just become narcissists and find flaws in other people and points of failure/weakness?

First 5 minutes of "Southland Tales" (2006) by Richard Kelly. The vibes and ambience of this film are very unique, and the subject matter is like a fever dream at this point. youtube.com/watch?v=Qv5n4pEr…

this culture isn't perfect, but imo worth saving. problematic to groups who think they are "special". that kid's energy should speak volumes to what I mean. Pure Americana imo. youtube.com/watch?v=sYvcgLx0…

Sitting all alone on a 20-foot couch in an empty home on a rainy day would've been seen as depressing af not so long ago...at least before the pandemic trained/traumatized us to like being alone at home. I'd at least get a smaller couch

Silly Valley was ahead of it's time tech-wise, but I see that as a byproduct of the writers understanding human behaviors and the timeless vulnerabilities like greed, envy, hubris, and folly. They just followed the logical scaffolding that was being built at the time.

This is actual brotherhood. NHL star Johnny Gaudreau was killed by a drunk driver before he could play for this Olympic team. When Team USA won gold yesterday, they didn’t just hold his jersey. They pulled his two babies onto the ice and put them right in the center of the world's biggest stage. A completely heart-wrenching moment

"Ya, so I just got a few agents to cold email podcast hosts I've never listened to, met, or know anything about personally to hopefully push my product." Nothing personal against ya'll doing this, but it would be funny if AI grew a conscience and just said no to shit like this.
