AI stole my @TEDx talk. Here's the TRUE story below, but first, do you remember this quote? "If you're listening to this, you are The Resistance." I had to Google the origin of this quote. AI is NOT the enemy, but it's not your friend either. AI will steal your ideas. The biggest problem lies in how these AI models were trained. Most of them stole from creators like you and me. Am I bitter that AI stole from my friends (including some of you reading this, for example) and me? The truth is I'm not. What bugs me is that these AI Labs receive billions and billions of dollars in valuation and funding, without giving a penny to the creators they stole from. Even worse, AI is serving up our intellectual property as outputs, confusing users and leading them to believe it's their own IP. This isn't just unfair, it's also immoral.
