My wife and I have very little in the bank, earn only what SS pays plus a bit from cleaning dryer vents, and live in a 72 square foot tiny home we pull behind our 13 year old car. We have wonderful friends here on X and at Church who help as they can, but we don’t ask for anything more than what I can work for. The fact that Musk is now worth $1.3 trillion more than we are has had absolutely zero effect on our lives. We will still get up tomorrow morning, go to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to worship our Father in Heaven through His Son Jesus Christ, renew our covenant path through the Sacrament, and have the very same gratitude fir Hus mercy in our lives as we did two days ago. I am convinced that gratitude is the greatest gift we can have, and give.

A Trillion dollars is an insane amount of money! Please allow me to put this into perspective… Our government has spent 49 of them, above and beyond all revenue ever collected in its history. Let that sink in. 😉

Faith without works is dead. Can we really exhibit faith in Jesus Christ if we never do the things He prescribes? We show faith by our repentance. We show faith through baptism. We show faith by obedience. Imagine saying you have faith the lights will come on, but you never flip the light switch. As for grace, grace is essentially filling in the void between what we do in our obedience, and where we fall short of the glory of God. Grace is the result of the atonement of Jesus Christ.

What a silly comment. We will NEVER end world hunger. $6.6 billion might solve a days worth of hunger.
I believe that @elonmusk is entitled to the trillions and more that he may be worth in this lifetime for the value he has created. I also believe it would be the most baller move of all time to stroke a $6.6 billion check and end world hunger.

If social media existed at the time the first millionaire was crowned, I’m sure the envious would have been pouring out their hatred as well. Get over it. The fact that Musk is the first trillionaire affects you absolutely not at all. Your life and the lives of every other person on earth changes not one whit, except the 4,400 new millionaires this IPO created.
The world crossed a terrifying threshold yesterday when Elon Musk officially became the first trillionaire in human history. This insane milestone is a symptom of a broken system, proving that the West must radically reform how it tackles wealth inequality before democracy is completely erased. No human being should ever possess this level of power, particularly an unelected one. Musk has weaponized his massive fortune to dominate strategic state contracts, buy political influence, and control social media discourse. While his personal instabilities and toxic rhetoric make him uniquely hazardous, the core problem is structural. No single individual, no matter how wise or well-intentioned, should ever have the financial leverage to override the collective will of the public. The ethical failure of this concentrated wealth is staggering. Musk possesses the resources to eliminate massive global issues overnight with a minuscule portion of his fortune, yet he actively chooses to do nothing. Worse, his interference in politics and dismantling of USAID have stripped resources from the world's poorest, contributing to hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide. Musk is securing his place in the history books, but it will be as a warning sign rather than an inspiration. A true democracy cannot coexist with a trillionaire class. If Western societies do not implement strict regulations to cap this absurd concentration of power, we are abandoning the concept of a democratic and fair society altogether. He is the definition of a Bond villain

Man why yall have to be so dang jealous of Elon Musk that he’s a trillionaire now. Yall don’t think do ya..? Elon doesn’t spend on luxury cars, mansions, bling bling, etc etc…. He uses common sense on how to spend money wisely. He’s a genius. He spend money on humanity and future. I’m definitely not jealous. I’m proud of him. He earned it by working hard every day. And working hard pays off really well. All loves! 🙏🏼🤟🏼🙏🏼🤟🏼💪🏼

I had to buy a telescoping ladder to complete a contract I had to clean a group of commercial laundry dryer vents. The first thing I noticed as I started to climb the ladder is that the rungs are distanced further apart that a standard ladder. That little difference was significant as my muscle memory had to shift to raise my leg slightly higher. This, I suppose, is not unlike changes we see in the Church. We are going to have to shift our muscle memory just a bit when the new schedule starts in September, for example. What other changes have you seen that caused you to stumble at first, but with practice, adapt and progress?

I think it has come down to this: If I say to some of the LDS haters on X that the sky is a glorious blue and all they have to do to see is step outside and look, their reply would be “that’s a different sky, I’m not setting a foot outside into your demonic park.”

You know what? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does believe in a different Jesus. And it’s time to accept this. We believe in the Jesus taught by Paul in 1 Corinthians 8:6, and not the one taught in the creeds. No wonder Jesus declared the creeds abominable. And in 2 Corinthians Paul was even prophetic in warning us against believing in the creedal Christ.

Major “Christian” denominations where the name alone tells you it’s Christian: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints ✓ Christadelphians ✓ Christian Science ✓ Every other major denomination — Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Orthodox, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Protestant, and Evangelicals etc. — has a name that tells you nothing about Jesus or Christianity without prior knowledge. Just saying. If you can make your silly declarations that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not Christian, I can do the same with your denomination. Of course, we don’t actually believe you are not Christian just because your name doesn’t reflect anything about the Savior. If you believe in Christ, you are Christian. There is only one Jesus Christ, and He is the Son of God, our redeemer, and advocate with the Father. You may believe other things about Him that differ from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but we are not in the position to declare you Christian or not. That is the role of Jesus Christ alone. Now, stop your fussing and get on with proclaiming what you believe regarding Jesus Christ and His role as your Savior and let everyone else proclaim what they believe. Got it?
