"Where did the success of March for Australia come from? What does the far right look like in Australia today, and how does it mobilise? And most importantly, how should we prepare to confront them in the future?"

New on @redblacknotes — @correnterosso tackles the Greens militarism, and the failure of socialist organisations in Australia to “address the fundamental political questions of how revolutionaries should relate to the capitalist state” & ‘defence’ policy.

Its positive interest in 'organised' anarchism is growing, though I have my own misgivings about aspects of 'especifismo'. In the meantime I pretty much endorse all of Dan's comments (with some reservations re the Malatesta part - the critique of Italian ancom is good, however).
A good critique of some fuzzy analysis, particularly around class, which has crept into the work of those who identify with the label especifist. I think it stems from wanting to avoid anything that could be interpreted as ‘Marxism’.
Disagree with Dan’s take on Malatesta though!
Geelong Anarchist Communists remain committed to spreading anarchist ideas and fighting for socialism.
While Warrnambool City Council attempted to suppress political discussion, it only highlighted the importance of developing radical politics in regional Australia.
My little report on Warrnambool City Councils freak out over anarchism. Despite cancelling the venue last minute, our comrades managed to hold the meeting and make a number of contacts!
This is an attack on freedom of speech and organisation - Warrnambool council is dictating what it's residents can and can't be politically involved in.
We are committed to holding the workshop, which will now take place on the Civic Green on Saturday 8 February starting at 2pm
