How we know gender identity is fake
1.) Germany passed a self-ID law that lets people change their gender identity every year and sue people for misgendering them. A Neo-Nazi convict who identified as a woman and is heading to a woman's prison is suing the media for doubting his self-identification.
2.) WPATH, the medical trade association that issues "standards of care" for transgender procedures that includes "eunuch identity" as a valid gender identity that creates grounds to castrate someone in order to align their bodies with their eunuch identity.
3.) Chase Strangio, ACLU's lead litigator on trans rights issue, a woman who doesn't identify as a man but merely as "trans" told the Supreme Court that trans identity is not immutable but can change.
4.) Colorado passed a law allowing people to change their gender self-ID up to three times and another law requiring insurers to pay for a range of cosmetic surgeries include nose jobs, electrolysis, and mandibular reconstruction, so long as the procedure is intended to make a man look like a woman or a woman look like a man.
This is why Amy Coney Barrett has expressed skepticism that the transgender population is 1.) a distinct class of person onto whom protected status can be conferred at all or 2.) a minority group that suffers from historical discrimination requiring redress. It is of course neither.
What is being adduced as "anti-trans discrimination" will inevitably just be some facet of a world designed to accommodate sexual difference, which sometimes requires separation of the sexes for the safety, privacy, and protection of women, which Ruth Bader Ginsberg declared a legitimate purpose of the law, and which no trans activist has ever provided a compelling reason to undo.
It only gets more ridiculous from here. But this small handful of examples should be sufficient to disabuse anyone of the notion that there was ever everything remotely real to discuss here. It's time to shut this mania down for good.
