North Carolina has not passed a budget and has left our employees & retirees behind. We need to raise the salaries of our state employees, so their pay matches their work. We also need to increase the COLA for state & local retirees.

I’m sad to hear the passing of my good friend, our former Governor Jim Hunt! He was a champion for public schools and the Smart Start program. A man who was truly dedicated to NC. My condolences to Carolyn, Rachel, and the entire Hunt family.
