It seems odd to me that I only have a vague sense if a track is great while performing. I need 24 hours and then listening back in a different environment to review. Is this something that comes with practice?
Any advice?
My music process:
* Improvise an idea.
* Spend x weeks refining and tweaking.
* Learn a huge amount in the process.
* Burn all the progress and release the original improv (It was better)
I've aways struggled with fast motion in visuals without causing motion sickness. Trying now to connect a very fast looped instruments with matching orbiting rocks. Giving the eye something stable and stationary to focus on with some liberal motion blur seems to help.
Very excited (and slightly terrified) to be playing the @cheltscifest (UK) in June along with the amazing @yaxu, @joannnne (from @algobbz) and @hellocatfood.
I did my first performance from within the audience.
Had a beautiful moment were I just stopped, sat back and enjoyed the performance with everyone. Breaking performer & audience roles creates some beautiful shared moments.
