Also helps that Tsushima's story also feels grander because while connected jin's inner conflict and mongol invasion being two separate plots while yotei pretty much entirely being about atsu's revenge doesn't help either. If yotei had a larger plot it could have felt better

On the gameplay front, sure. An improvement in almost every conceivable way from Tsushima to Yotei. Better traversal, open world and swordplay
But there is an ATLANTIC OCEAN SIZED GAP between Tsushima and Yotei as far as narrative goes. Tsushima tells the tale of a samurai becoming the first shinobi and struggling with the inner moral conflict of that. Sacrificing his honor for the greater good of his people.
Yotei tells a revenge story we’ve seen at least 1000 times across different mediums of storytelling. Decent story throughout but wildly mediocre, cliche final act
They aren’t even close. Tsushima clears 8 days a week

Also according to alinea china has become PlayStation's 5th largest market. So playstation is already starting to make inroads in china, surely it's small compared to PC market but it will only get bigger as you keep making more exclusives that appeal to the chinese base.

Intent matters sony did it when playstation was very strong and it was for more growth potential, microsoft is looking to do it at xbox's lowest point profit wise and it looks a lot more that they are trying to get rid of it.
