Opus is on the struggle bus today. Anyone else feeling it ?

Claude community - hello - nice to see you all. Would love to make some connections in having a hard time finding community here for real human feedback. So far it’s bots bots bots. If Fable 5 comes back ? How will you approach and manage your usage ?

Why do we all want Fable 5 back when it maxed out usage limits out in just minutes ? We saw what it built but those prompts cost thousands upon thousands.

IMO - If you wrote bad prompts with Opus, Fable 5 would have just cost you a lot more money, a lot quicker. If you are still writing bad prompts with Opus , if Fable 5 gets re-released. Your bad prompts will just look better at first glance and will persist into costing you more and more money. 💵 🔥

Something has changed in Opus in the last couple of hours- the behavior has changed- my outputs and responses feel more similar to Fable 5 on low. The responses I’m getting to control the subagents are smarter- the reasoning is better. If I were a betting man (which I’m not) I would imagine @ClaudeDevs are waiting for the community to notice. Imo : Anthropic has adjusted the knobs on Opus 4.8 (in the past few hours). I know my account is new and Im not on linked in but I’ve been vibing and shipping on a fairly high level for about 6 months now. Feedback ?

I feel like the same model that has been working behind the scenes on iPhones is happening with the new LLm’s. They launched Fable 5 - pulled it and Opus regressed (pretty obvious to those of us it on a high level every day). I said this for years and no one believed me until the lawsuits with Apple and Samsung proved it. scenario - launch a new model with higher token usage you “can’t live without”. The old one that was great is no longer great. Tell me I’m wrong ?😑

Question: You get Fable 5 back tomorrow. What’s the plan for startup founders- max out the credit card ? It used my personal 5 hour Max20 plan in 21 minutes. I was barely able to use it with my personal account. It will be back - dialed back about 10-20% imo.
