So, Keyonte George was the talk of the NBA during summer league. Why? Well, among all rookies in summer league since 2004, he was the second highest in points created per 36 at 42.3 That's 25.5 points for himself and another 16.7 assisted on. Only John Wall clears *120 mins

Player-Seasons where the player was 0.3 or greater in each zone, both when self creating and when finishing from a pass

One thing that I find so alluring about Darryn is that I'd label him as a 6-level scorer. Volume & efficiency as a self-creator from Rim-Mid-Three, but also volume & efficiency off-ball from Rim-Mid-Three. The list of players that do all 6 is very short. Especially at 19 YO.

The Pacers created an offense that like, broke basketball based on guys that could do 4-5 of these 6 things.

If you want to hear two really smart guys processing the playoffs on a very tactical level, but with a Jazz focus, get @rgiss11 and Mark in your ears right now! The lottery stuff was fun too, even though I personally am anti-credits, because I hate joy. πŸ˜‚

One thing I never got out - I love the Jazz rebuilding process. They've absolutely spring-loaded their roster so that when the (#2 pick) guy comes, they're wasting no time on his production on a rookie contract I think lottery reform that encourages winning makes this common

In the last ~15 years of tanking becoming more and more common place, too many teams fumble the bag because their star player took them from REALLY BAD to like, mediocre, feisty lower seed. The necessity to dig yourself so deep makes a ceiling to what you can actually do later

Wizards drafted John Wall Pelicans drafted Anthony Davis Wolves drafted Wiggins and THEN Towns Sixers went Embiid-Simmons-Fultz Cavs drafted Kyrie (almost doomed) You shouldn't have to be scrambling to add the pieces around these guys later. You should have them ready to go
