Which are the top 20 countries for battery energy storage capacity?

@VisualCap, using data from Rho Motion’s BESS database, we can see that China accounts for approximately two thirds of the installed capacity of grid scale BESS worldwide.
However, in the coming years other markets will grow significantly, fuelled by falling lithium-ion cell prices, and renewables buildout. Within Europe, the UK has by far the largest installed capacity with 7.5GWh. Other notable markets include Australia and Chile which in recent years have built out significant capacity. Elsewhere the industry remains in its nascency, with market maturity and pipeline development yet to be fully realised.
