The mangrove in Kolleh Town are thriving well, after a scientific study concluded that mangrove cannot survive but communities defied science and now we proudly have a success rate of 94% out of 80,0000 mangroves planted with support from @CatholicRelief

These kids were happy to see and touch a drone. When we explained the process to them, I saw some level of determination and pride. Got me thinking! How can we make technology more accessible to local communities. Thanks @hotosm for building the capacities of local communities

Plastic waste is found in most coastal communities in Freetown blocking waterways and river channels increasing the risk of flooding. We must strive to #BeatPlasticPollution by reducing our dependency on plastics and establishing recycling businesses for local communities.
