In fact, Haiti has the largest gold mines in the Caribbean, more oil than Venezuela, trillions of dollars of natural gas, and the world's second-largest Iridium deposits...and it is very important to keep Haiti in constant crisis. Since 1826, Haiti has also been forced to pay France reparation of $20-30 billion dollars from their economy to former slave trading families in France for loss of earnings from their liberation - impacting their economy. The US, Canada, and France have kept Haiti down continually, and in crisis, as it benefits them. The US under occupation also took land and mining rights and gave them to US and Canadian corporations, stopping Haiti being able to exploit and enrich from their own resources. Nearly 70% are unemployed with an average wage of $1-dollar a day. Many of the Prime Ministers have also been hand-picked by Washington to work in their favor, with many of the PMs paying criminal gangs to act like their secret police. The Clinton Foundation also raised over $8-billion-dollars for Haiti - yet less than 2% was ever handed over. Clinton's brother also benefitted after being given the rights to exploit one of Haiti's largest gold mines.
