RE: SPEAKERSHIP RACE I wish to draw the attention of the public to the matters regarding the Speakership race. After wide consultations and deep introspection, and to maintain harmony and clarity in my beloved party, the @NRMOnline, I wish to categorically and unequivocally state that I will not be offering myself for the Speakership race of the 12th Parliament. I am greatly indebted to H.E @KagutaMuseveni, my party, the @NRMOnline, and members of the 11th Parliament for giving me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Speaker and Speaker. I am equally indebted to my family and friends for the solidarity and support they have extended to me over the last five years. I pledge my total support to the candidates who will be endorsed by the President and the Party, and Implore all colleague MPs of the 12th Parliament to do the same. I shall remain available to the service of my country as the party and the President may assign me. In the meantime, I pledge to continue cooperating with all ongoing investigations as initiated by the relevant organs of the state to get to the root of all the allegations raised. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY. ANITA ANNET AMONG

Today I pause to ponder upon my 11 year journey @nbstv. I can only say EBENEZER thus far the Lord has brought me. Through breaking news, hard truths, national triumphs, and difficult conversations with grace and with courage, others requiring lengthy hours of non stop talking. I never know how the day ends personally, only to realise I was speaking that long. Eleven years ago, I walked into @nbstv from then WBS Television with one Vision. To contribute to the noble profession JOURNALISM and probably INSPIRE the next female journalists, and since then, I can only say better days are ahead but the journey so far has been worthwhile 11 years means 4AM alarms for #MorningBreeze, setting the tone for the nation before most of us have had our first cup of tea. It means 11 years of news where I have held leaders to account, given a platform to the voiceless, and reminded that journalism is public service. It means 11 years of elections, budgets, pandemics, and protests, moments when the country turns to media not just for information, but for calm, for clarity, for context. I have interviewed presidents and market vendors with the same respect. I have moderated debates that shaped public opinion and broken stories that mattered. To the young journalists, it takes preparation, listening before speaking, balancing firmness with fairness, carrying the weight of the news without letting it crush your humanity. That is the standard. To NBS, to Mr. @KKariisa I am better because you and the team believed in me and gave me a platform to grow, In an industry where talent is poached and loyalty is tested. Yes to the late shifts, Yes to the hard interviews,Yes to mentoring the next generation, Yes to Uganda my home. I always say “Journalism is not a job, it’s a responsibility.” For 11 years, I have lived that responsibility in full public view showing that a woman can be authoritative without being abrasive, compassionate without being compromised, and principled without being performative. On behalf of the @nextmediaug family, our viewers, and a grateful nation THANK YOU. Thank you for the nights you didn’t sleep because you waited for that story, thank you for the questions you dared to ask to get answered through us, thank you for proving that credibility is still the currency that matters. Eleven years is not the finish line. It’s the foundation and if the last decade is anything to go by, Greater things lie ahead. Thankyou God, Thankyou @KKariisa, Thankyou viewers, Thankyou my family for the support. @afromobileug @nextradio_ug @nbsplusug @sanyukatv . @joycebagala1 @SabitiJoseph @SimonKaggwaNjal @shawnkimuli @KigoziJoe @p_lwanga @doreenkomuhangi @SolomonSerwanjj mukama abakuume.

"Failure inspires winners. Failure defeats losers." Everyone has a fear of losing money. It is a general thing. The rich also have a fear of losing money, and most rich people lose a lot of money. But the main difference between the rich and the poor is how they manage fear.
