The modern left are quite literally insane.
Kathy Hochul is the first ever Governor of New York State also to be a mother. So naturally she’s thinking of signing new legislation to purge gendered language — like mother — from state family law. Under the bill that passed in Albany last week, the word mother would be replaced by “gestating parent” and father would become “non-gestating parent.”

In LOTR, the shire spent so long sheltered from evil that it began to think evil did not exist. The west is like the shire. We must save the shire.

When Christianity is culturally marginalised, this is what fills the vacuum - or more accurately, what returns. The endgame of secularisation is paganism and the occult. theguardian.com/us-news/2026…

20 years ago, An Inconvenient Truth put climate change at the center of global debate, shaping politics, influencing leaders, and inspiring a generation of activists. Two decades later, we can assess not just its impact, but its accuracy. Many of the film’s most alarming predictions did not materialize, while many of the policies it inspired have proven costly and ineffective. The lesson? Panic is a poor guide for public policy. Focusing on innovation, adaptation, and economic development can do far more to help both people and the climate—at a fraction of the cost. financialpost.com/opinion/bj…

The MSM is in denial tonight about events in Belfast. They pay lip service to the story, before swinging into full ‘organ of reassurance’ mode. The story demands they suspend their obeisance to the cult of open borders, globalisation and ‘all cultures are equal’ multiculturalism. They can’t do it.

Secularists have weaponised safeguarding. Safety is the new danger.
This redefinition of safeguarding is a terrible overreach. Every priest deals, most weeks, with people want things from the Church. And will weaponise their claim to be vulnerable in order to target the clergy to get what they want. When everything is safeguarding, nothing is.

Exactly correct. And Christians need to realise this instead of going along with the woke agenda out of a simplistic misunderstanding of Christian ethics.
"White privilege" is a racist lie. DEI is blatant systemic racism. Woke is a form of social Marxism. Reject it all. No more discrimination.

In her latest essay for @RestoringWest, @daisymaeinglese challenges one of modern culture’s most powerful promises: that women can maximize career, motherhood, marriage, family, health, and personal fulfillment all at once. A meaningful life is not built by having everything. It is built by making worthy sacrifices. Multiculturalism is anti-Christian and needs to be opposed wherever it is encountered.
Multiculturalism means embracing every other culture over the West’s. Under the guise of “inclusion,” it acts as a Trojan horse that delivers the total erasure of Western culture in practice. Every person and organization promoting it is an enemy of the West.

As MPs consider whether to bring back the Bill for Assisted Dying that fell in the last session - spare a thought for the people who actually care for the dying. Prospect Hospice near Swindon in my constituency is running at half its potential capacity, with 6 beds open rather than 12, meaning they turn away 6 dying people per week. Patients are ending their lives in corridors in Great Western Hospital, 4 miles away, because of a failure to fund end of life care. Meanwhile over in Devizes Julia’s House, a hospice for the most seriously ill children - including terminally - is scrabbling for money to keep open. The most moving visit I’ve paid as an MP was to Julia’s House: a truly wonderful place, full of sadness and goodness. Yet they only get 8% of their income from the government. Hospices (a British invention) are the best institutions in the world. It’s great they attract so much philanthropy - long may it continue - but they deliver a service that is clearly healthcare, and the NHS is legally obliged to fund it; but it doesn’t, because there is no definition of what ‘it’ is. The government urgently needs to bring forward minimum standards that local health commissioners must follow in meeting their obligations to fund palliative care.

I’ve noticed a real need for the church to grow in its knowledge, passion, and interest in apologetics. The church should be a place where people feel safe asking spiritual questions, and I’m thankful for the apologists who specialize in answering difficult objections and explaining why we believe what we believe. Elon just endorsed it. Gad Saad dropped the hammer on Fox this morning. We now live in a world where: - Rape victims get less sympathy than their rapists - Homeowners get less than the squatters breaking in - American vets get less than illegal migrants - Repeat felons with 186 charges get 200 more “chances” because “society made them do it” This isn’t kindness. This is suicidal empathy. Universities spent decades teaching our judges, leaders, and elites that personal agency is a myth if you check the right oppression boxes. So criminals become victims, victims become bigots for complaining, and the whole system rots from the inside.

Remember this convoy of cars driving through London, part of a pro-Palestine protest, declaring through a loudspeaker: “F__k the Jews! Rape their daughters!”? The CPS took the decision not to prosecute and dropped all charges against four men. There have been no arrests or prosecutions of the hundreds or thousands who have called weekly for jihad, global intifada, the genocide of Jews, or celebrated Hamas, Hezbollah or ISIS; no arrests of those who chanted ‘Khaybar, Khaybar, ya yahud! Jaish Muhammad soufa yaʿoud!’ I look forward to seeing what banners, slogans, chants and symbols used in the ‘Unite the Kingdom’ rally meet their threshold for spreading hate or causing fear and intimidation.
I've just seen this, on the eve of @TRobinsonNewEra's ‘Unite the Kingdom’, after the police and CPS turning a blind eye to the banners, slogans, chants and symbols demanding the death (and rape) of Jews. All we need now is for a few Bishops of the Church of England to chip in.

The world after Western dominance won’t be neutral. It will belong to someone else. The “multipolar world” is being sold as the end of Western hypocrisy and the solution to the failures of the current order. But power never disappears, it shifts. And an unstable multipolar world will eventually produce a new dominant civilisation, with its own values imposed on everyone else. The real question is: are those values better than ours? I don't think so.
