For kindness week each day my class will be participating in a random act of kindness! Today we made Valentine’s Day cards for residents in a nursing home that I’m going to mail out today. Loved seeing how thoughtful they were ❤️ @GraceMillerES1

Three years ago I had a student write me this letter at the end of the school year. She signed it with “stay happy sweet tooth” because she knew I loved candy. Those words stuck with me. So I got her words tattooed as a reminder to stay happy and continue eating candy 🍬

Had a great presentation from @mr_Alsheimer for our inservice day! It got me thinking about all of the teachers who have impacted me growing up. I still have this note my 10th grade teacher wrote for me. It’s rewarding to have a job where you can make a child feel seen and loved.

Our staff member chosen for the end of the month was the best school security office to ever exist! Mr. Spicer!

Mrs. Lasher was our first random staff member to receive a kindness bag and she returned the kindness by giving our class some lollipops. What a great example of when you put positivity out in the world it comes back around 🩷 Thanks Mrs. Lasher!! @GraceMillerES1

Our kindness club is back in full swing! Each month our class will pick two staff members (one at the beginning and end of the month) to get a little goodie bag. I ordered these cute pens too that will be in the bags. We’re giving out our first bag Friday 🥰🩷 @GraceMillerES1

Started one of my favorite things with my students today… music Mondays!! Where I show them a school appropriate song off my playlist. I show them Daylily by @movementsCA every year because it’s always a favorite 🤍
