Do you realize that we are witnessing probably the most inept and downright dumb politicians ever elected to office in the history of our government? Doesnโ€™t even matter what party they represent. There are a few exceptions but wow what a dumpster fire these clowns are.

The announcement today about FAIR backed by the Linux Foundation will be an interesting one to watch unfold over the next few weeks. While anyone is free to download the plugin that shifts your instance of WordPress from using the .org repo to this new decentralized one, depending on who hosts your website they may choose to do this for you behind the scenes or they may choose to block this from happening. I imagine there will be pushback from some and cheers from others. If I were a plugin developer, I would be jumping for joy over this news. See the post below for additional information.

I have been trying to be better about staying organized with things I want to save and the use of bookmarks here on twitter. Anyone else use bookmarks and have more than the default bucket to save things?

Do you listen to music when you're doing outside chores like mowing the grass? I don't because it allows me to be alone with my thoughts. It is a somewhat mindless task so I get to ponder. Driving is also one time when I sometimes turn off the tunes. I have to be careful with this one though, because I've missed my turned and forgotten where I was headed. There have been times when I've been driving and my wife and I will be talking about something and she will say, "Didn't we need to take this exit or wasn't that our turn?"

Here is my follow criteria for twitter accounts: 1. I look back at the past several weeks or months to see if this person is talking about things that interest me. 2. Does this person post a lot. If more than 6-10 times per day, I really scrutinize the quality of the information. 3. The age of their account if there aren't a lot of posts to evaluate. 4. Is there a URL in their profile that looks suspicious or points to a porn site. Number 2 is really the biggest for me if they aren't a porn bot. If they post a lot, and I still want to follow their content, I have a private list that I will add them to that I check from time to time. I have tried to be more selective what shows up in my "Following" feed so I am not overly distracted when opening this app.

If youโ€™re a @Rockies fan and still showing up to games, I tip my hat to you. That is dedication.

Making educated decisions based on web traffic analytics is a really tough task right now. A client site had above avg traffic yesterday, today it fell below 50% of their daily avg. You can't help but wonder if Google changed something because no changes happened on the site.

As of today, we are a landline free house. I know you're probably thinking, wow what took you so long? Well, we live in a rural area and couldn't depend on our cell phones to work unless we had internet. Cell service has improved so today seemed like a great day to cancel it.

Today while looking for some paperwork in the filing cabinet, I came across this picture and award. The gentleman on the far left, Steve Hunt, was my boss at the time, but he was much more than a boss. Looking back he was one of the best people I've ever had in my professional life. He taught me so many things that I use everyday. His name is usually on the tip of my tongue when I am talking about how things should be done in the business world. Sadly, on June 5, 2020 he left this world. He left a legacy that will last a long time even though he never had children. He mentored so many people during his professional career and I am lucky enough to be one of them.

It is 65ยบ F here in Virginia. I have my windows open and can hear the birds singing and the breeze blowing through the trees. I think this is as close to heaven as we can get.

My wife had a last minute work trip to Nashville this past weekend so I decided to tag along because we have friends there I could hang out with while she was working. I didn't look at social media or my phone much for 2 days. It was an amazing weekend! Highly recommend it!

I think Apple should hire Marques to do the next intro for the Sept release of the new product lineup, even if it is just a parody because this is hilarious! ๐Ÿคฃ
