UK inflation, Feb '25: undershoots for once, back below 3%
CPI: 2.8% (BoE tgt 2%) prev. 3.0% - forecast was for 3.0%.
Core CPI: 3.5% (prev. 3.7%) vs expected 3.6%.
RPIX: 3.0% (old BoE trgt, 2.5%) prev. 3.2%
Context:
Pay: 5.9% y-o-y in quart thru' Jan ( 5.8% inc. bonus)
