Not just a Chattanooga/Hixson issue...needs a federal fix. The Interstate Commerce Act doesn't account for growth, taxpayer-owned roads, private property of any stakeholder other than railroads.

In Smith’s statement she refused to accept responsibility for election fraud conspiracies & lies that her & other GOP officials have peddled that led directly led to yesterday’s violence. In fact, she doubled down on concerns about “the integrity of the voting process.” Shameful

The article emphasizes the process to ensure strong institutions and notes the importance of hearing grievances, working toward solutions. There must be one standard, law. When people believe to be silenced, they protest...speech is good. Vandalism, violence are crimes.

Anyone can read what you wrote. And while the vast majority of Americans are horrified, shocked, and disgusted by yesterday’s violence, Smith’s hometown Tea Party was gleefully celebrating it. This is the party of Trump: conspiracies, lies, and unaccountable violence.

The quote from the article is a statement of fact that emphasizes the critical nature of trust in our institutions. Not a threat. We need law enforcement. We need education. We need churches. We need the authentic press. We need these things for an orderly society. No threat.

I read what Smith wrote. It reads as a threat: she peddles election fraud conspiracies & lies & writes “peaceful transitions of power are a result of a trusted process, not simply an organic outcome.” This is the grossly irresponsible rhetoric that led to yesterday’s violence.

There must be one standard, one set of laws observed & enforced. Vandalism, violence, agitating have not solved grievances & yesterday's events are equally condemned. If you were present at the events, have video, share info to assist w arrests.
