That's good (and new!) one :-D
So there’s this common misconception that autistic people take everything literally. I’m autistic, so I can tell you… that’s just not true. The people who actually take things literally are kleptomaniacs. I just have autism.

Some people complain that many books have no real info on the back but rather glamorous review quotes. But what about having quotes from the characters in the story? They know it best, don't they? For example what about: /1

"After all, why not keep it?" - Bilbo Baggins, Hobbit "And my axe!" - Gimli, Dwarf "Some who live deserve death." - Gandalf, Wizard "There is still hope." - Aragorn, son of Arathorn Did anybody do that? Did it work to make the book seem interesting?

Yesterday someone said "Loneliness is just another word for freedom" and I'm still thinking about it.

In a world where we have to talk to each other to solve difficult issues together (because you guys don't want me to be the worlds benevolent dictator for life - big mistake, btw), one of the things that annoy me the most is this: people who make a claim to make a point and /1

then, when it's pointed out to them that this claim is false, assume (aggressively, usually) that one disputes the point itself. Simple example: "This evil guy murdered 4 people last year!!" "Actually he mordered 2, the other 2 victims survived without permanent injury." /2

"Ha! You think murdering 2 people is fine, then? You monster!" I mean... how fucking stupid does one have to be to argue like that? I think I'm gonna insta-block these people from now on to weed out those with whom no adult discussion is possible.

Do the people who post the same old questions for the 1000th time to get some engagement have no dignity? Shame? Pride? Nothing? Really, guys, knock it off! Come up with a new, interesting question of Your own! It's sooo embarrassing to see You beg for attention.

Sometimes I feel a bit sad about the books I got and then never read. Even more so for techincal books than for fiction because for the latter there's at least a chance that I'll read and enjoy it next year - or in retirement, whatever. But the tech books are obsolete by now. /1

I missed the chance to profit from the distilled knowledge of the experts. I could have been a smarter person. :-/

Something that never bothered me as a reader but is causing me significant worries now that I try to write a novel myself: if some characters have a longer conversation, let's say the story requires it to be 2h, but then, when reading the dialogue that's actually spelled out /1
