Sometimes I ask myself,
“Is it crazy to keep holding these coins as the lows get lower or… is it crazy for me to not be buying more?”
Then I remember that everyone else will say you’re crazy for doing either.
But everyone else is comfortable living their lives in their cubes, placating themselves with materialism, social politics, and pop culture drama just to make it through another day, month, or year of existing.
All in an attempt to drown out that never ending noise that exists in everyone’s heads and gnaws at them day in and day out, whether they realize it or not.
The noise that has no voice because most people aren’t willing to give it one. They know what it would say if they did and they can’t stand to hear it.
“This isn’t the best you can do. You’re capable of more. You NEED more”
Whatever that means for you, fine. But, I know you hear it.
For me, it means escape from the all too common trajectory of living each day by simply waiting for the next one. That’s not living at all. That’s just a master class in procrastination.
It means escape from the anxiety of trading my precious time to work like a dog for a measly wage that will likely never outpace inflation to elevate my standard of living or provide financial safety in times of crisis.
It means having the means and willingness to stop dreaming and start chasing goals.
Yeah, they might laugh. Sure, they might be concerned. But they won’t be doing a damn thing to change it for themselves. And that’s why you’ll be the one with the last laugh.
No one achieves reward without risk. No one competes without being in the arena. No one wins without losing and getting back up.
We are going to ride our little coins into the sunset.
