Lot of "property tax enjoyers" in my replies today.
I raise them this:
Imagine I'm a guy with a big stick and a reputation for violence. I watch you all the time.
I notice you bought a mattress to sleep on. I say "OK, nice mattress -- pay me $200/mo or else I'm gonna come into your house, drag you and your wife out of bed, and take that mattress so I can auction it off."
You'd predictably tell me I'm insane and that I need to stay away from you.
But of course, when you missed your first $200/mo payment to me, I really would do it -- I'd come into your house, drag you out of bed, and take your mattress.
The next morning, you'd complain to your friends that you slept on the floor because some idiot took your mattress. They'd tell you you deserved it, that you should've paid me, that that $200 is "a good deal" and "the most efficient thing" I could've done to you.
Anyway, when you go on telling people that they should gleefully pay RENT to the government on property they already paid for and own, or that property taxes are "the best tax," etc etc -- that's kind of what you sound like.
