We have developed a non-invasive visualization method using optical fiber sensing to monitor root development in the soil in real time, 24 hours a day. The paper is the result of joint research with #JAMSTEC. Congratulations, Dr. Tei!!

Congratulations, Dr. Soma! We have clarified the relationship between drought-induced growth change and gene expression in rice. We analyzed 576 sample data obtained under different droughts in the early, middle, and late stages with automatic irrigation.

Congratulations to Drs. Wei and Tanaka on publication of our paper! We have devised a method to find candidate genes of root system architecture in small size of rice accessions using a combination of GWAS, TWAS, and eGWAS.

RSAtrace4D allows us to measure non-destructively root system architecture over time. Once only the final root sample is traced, all other samples can be measured automatically.

Our phenotyping infrastructures have been registered with International Plant Phenotyping Network (IPPN). This is the first registration from Japan to IPPN. We hope it will lead to a collaboration with many people.
