Food banks are NOT the solution to food insecurity. Real solutions lie in policies that establish income equity, affordable housing & healthy communities. Ensuring the right to food isn't about giving people more food, it's about supporting their ability to access it themselves.

Grateful for this funding that allows roots to create meals from scratch for Elders and seniors experiencing ongoing food insecurity. So great to see so many other orgs adapting programs to help people better meet the needs in the region.

This thread - yes!! Read the whole thing! We’re broken records here, but if I hear another person want to build a 4 season GH in the North to solve food insecurity or provide jobs, I might start flipping tables.
