The World Rowing Championships begin on 9 September in Bulgaria with 49 New Zealand athletes entered.

The 2018 World Rowing U23 Championships take place 25-29 July in Poznan, Poland. The regatta has nearly 500 rowers from over 55 nations, with New Zealand entering 26 athletes across 9 crews.
