The more everyone has to say how great something is, the worse it is. During the dying days of Nazi Germany all the Public Officials were forced to repeat lies of how great Adolf Hitler was and how well things were going. You see that right now in the dying days of Donald Trump

Replying to @neilhimself
@neilhimself one of my students has asked me to ask you why you kept Click-Clack The Rattlebag as a short story and didn't write a longer one or an entire series based on the original. He loves finding all the clues which are dropped in the narrative. TIA!

The fabulous Tom Corfield on accompaniment today for @derbybachchoir Come and Sing in Ticknall. Despite the freezing temperatures and the sticky F note (quite important for this piece) he works around it. Genius. @classmusderby @DerbyCQ #Mozart

The @derbybachchoir has got off to a great start today with a packed church. In shocking news, James Foulds actually led us in a warmup this morning. More on this story as we get it...

Helpful reminder: βœ…The Crown Prosecution Service makes independent decisions based on evidence, not letters from MPs who have seen a video clip on Twitter. βœ…A crowdfunder to privately prosecute a case still under police investigation is at best pointless, at worst a con.

We have the most working class government in British political history and they’re being painted as scroungers. The performative outage from Tory client journalists reeks of hypocrisy and classism. If there was evidence of corruption or impropriety - I’d be outraged. There isn’t.

This site seems to be getting more and more bots following people. I delete and block daily now. A far cry from when I first got more active on this site 4 years ago or so. What a difference an owner makes....

Nobody is saying it, but if UK energy firms had a lower govt price cap, no winter fuel payment would even be necessary. It's not that pensioners are paid too much, it's that energy firms are encouraged by the government, to charge FAR more to make obscene profit.
