8) Exit, Voice, and Loyalty- Hirschman; & No Shortcuts - @rsgexp Hirschman's amazing piece explored how individuals can promote their rights via exit, or advocacy (voice). McAlevey provides a great case study, how union organising actually works and how to do it.

My Books Threads: Thread A few folks have asked if I could consolidate the lists I've made and pin them so here goes. 1) Best books on Economic Inequality. x.com/BevansAdvocate/status/…

Best books on Economic Inequality. 1) Inequality - Tony Atkinson. Absolutely THE book on inequality and what can be done about it. Atkinson was a giant in the profession and this book reflects this, the length-insights ratio of this book is amazing.

Such an important skill!
Why structure tests? Looking forward to our sixth and FINAL session of this year's Core Fundamentals, where we'll hear from a few of our participating groups about WHAT they're doing to build their campaigns, WHY they're using structure tests, and HOW they plan to win ✌️

These concepts are SO often confused, I hear them used interchangeably, like nails on a chalkboard. As you state, key differences between them. Learn the differences and apply them. Like "organic" or "natural" leader versus committed activist.
Both have such an important role to play in organizing! Put it on paper! Far too often this “info” is in people’s heads & therefore not accessible - this info belongs to the workers - and yes we need to analyze & critique it!

Organize fossil fuel workers for ecosocialism! My MA thesis follows the arguments of people like @Matthuber78, Andreas Malm, @rsgexp, John Bellamy Foster, Steve Beda, and others to outline the beginning steps of what that organizing might look like. linkedin.com/posts/matthew-m…

Proud to see members of my local-#4811-striking over ULPs, standing up for the right to protest war, and for peace in Gaza.

Student and worker protest movements have always pushed the UC to the right side of history. As UC demonstrates in an article on their own website, it is the students and workers who remain the driving force of change in the UC system. universityofcalifornia.edu/n…

Paul Weller performs with a Palestinian flag on display. Asked about it, he replies, “Am I against genocides and ethnic cleansing? Yes, I am, funnily enough. I can’t understand why more people aren’t up in arms about what’s going on. We should be ashamed of ourselves, I think.”

Part of the Gaza Pier, broken off and run aground up the coast, away from Gaza. It’s beyond time now: drop the games of boats and planes; open the roads; stop the bombs.
