Always sad if you submit something to the Apple App Store and it gets rejected by some automation just because of another keyword in your app description. Now I have to go through a lengthy process to get the app through review 😅

With AI enabling non-engineers to write code and contribute to the product, what is the future of local work environments? I don't want to send my designer or customer advocate pages of instructions to set up all the things. Are CDEs the answer? Curious to hear your thoughts!

I'm building Maxout again. Five years ago I shut it down — not because it went bust, but because I lost the entirely. New post on why, and what's different this time: rathes.me/blog/en/building-m…

The original was a PWA but following Apple's design guidelines, because I couldn't code in Swift UI. That constraint is gone thanks to the help of AI. Since then I've shipped a native macOS menubar app and a fitness-focused iOS app. Now I can try Maxout.

People ask me what tools I use for coding. The honest answer: it's not one tool anymore. It's an entire ecosystem. Here's what my daily setup looks like as a frontend engineer at Buffer 🧵

Two more tools that quietly changed everything: Granola captures my meetings so I can query decisions and action items later. Wispr handles voice input across my whole workflow — I'm way quicker talking than typing.
