From the Hansard, this is what Linda Reynolds said that caused Lisa Wilkinson to write that she was "𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗵". Why it's relevant follows in Glen's incredibly well researched thread. #Lehrmann #LindaReynolds #auspol x.com/hardenuppete/status/17…

This is the statement she made in the Senate Hansard from 15-02-2021. Pay particular attention to the last paragraph!! Senator REYNOLDS (Western Australia—Minister for Defence) (14:00): I can say that of course I'm aware of today's reports and I'm extremely concerned about the wellbeing of my former staff member. Women should be safe and they should feel safe in the workplace at all times. My only priority throughout this matter was the welfare of my then staff member and ensuring that she received the support that she needed. That included ensuring that she was clear about the support available to her, and her right to make a formal complaint to the Australian Federal Police should she choose to do so. At all times, my then chief of staff and I ensured that we sought advice from and we followed advice from ministerial and parliamentary services regarding the support available. I was at pains to ensure that my staff member felt empowered to determine how she wanted to handle the matter, and that remains the case. At the time of the initial meeting with my staff member, I was not aware of the details or the circumstances of the alleged incident in my office. Had I known, I would have conducted the meeting elsewhere. Given the sensitivities surrounding this issue, it would not be appropriate for me to comment further.

I’ve been enlightened. It seems Whybrow’s contention is that she wasn’t drunk & passed out. She took her dress off to make it look like rape. And apparently she created this scenario because her job was in jeopardy - 5 days before her job was in jeopardy. #Lehrmann

Lehrmann in the hot seat again & already admits the no. of drinks he purchased at the Doc Hotel was not 5 but now 6. Says he still can’t explain how 2 transactions with 6 drinks = 1 transaction of $16 on his CC. 🤔 The mystery continues.

The case for the Voice? Keating’s ‘92 Redfern address said it all. We did the dispossessing. We took the lands. We smashed the traditional way of life, brought the diseases, committed the murders, took the children. All that, & all they ask is guaranteed access to parliament & govt

Amazing story about a surgeon who ingested a tiny wire fibre from a BBQ griller cleaning brush - I found out we had one and have now disposed of it. Who knew? washingtonpost.com/wellness/…

Feel for the voters of Cook. Their MP has been thoroughly disgraced. They deserve the chance to elect a new representative... one with ethics intact. @ScottMorrisonMP resign already!

Our hearts go out to the families, farmers and communities affected by the bushfires. May you continue to find strength during these terribly difficult times. Thank-you to our brave emergency service personnel and volunteers, the navy and the ADF for your heroism.
